From the No. 1 bestselling author Kristina Ohlsson comes Storm Watch, the first installment in a new crime series set on the Swedish west coast. Mystery and atmosphere combine as the salty sea winds greet a newcomer to the community: August Strindberg.
August arrives in Hovenäset on the very same night that a local teacher, Agnes, disappears. August has just left a lucrative career in finance, and the big city, behind him. All for the sake of realizing his long-held dream: to open an antiques store. Finally he’ll get to do what he’s always loved, and in a place he’s longed to return to.
But the idyllic little community of Hovenäset has been shaken to its core by the disappearance of one of its most loved members. The police, with the empathetic and driven Maria Martinsson at the fore, search for her day and night. But as the days stack up, the hope of finding Agnes alive dwindles. What really happened to her? And why can’t August shake the uncomfortable feeling that he holds the key to solving the mystery?
“[The novel] is brilliantly told in a light, almost feelgood-esque tone, despite the difficult relations and old secrets that it deals with. Storm Watch is of course nominated for the Swedish Crime Novel of the Year award.”

C More and TV4’s hugely successful crime drama series Bäckström, based on Leif GW Persson’s bestselling novels featuring the notorious Superintendent of the same name, has been renewed for a second season.
The second season, largely based on the third installment in the Bäckström series, The Sword of Justice, will be directed by Andreas Öhman and one more director. Screenplays are written by Jonathan Sjöberg and Dennis Magnusson. The series is produced by Yellow Bird for C More and TV4 in co-production with ARD Degeto and Film i Väst. Shooting will begin shortly and is set to Västra Götaland and Stockholm.
“Kjell Bergqvist’s interpretation of Leif GW Persson’s Bäckström was a smash hit on TV4 and C More. Therefore, it’s extra exciting to be able to continue on with a sequel. This time, the case is connected to a macabre, seemingly cursed music box, so the new season has an even bigger air of mystery around it – but Bäckström is still an asshole with a big heart and a lot of humor,” says Niva Westlin Dahl, Executive Producer at TV4/C More.
Fredrik Backman’s long-running bestseller Anxious People is the ninth most sold title in Canada of 2020 according to the daily newspaper Toronto Star, which ranks the title under “Original Fiction.”

Are two brains better than one? As far as SON is concerned, we can say yes! The tension rises gradually, the plot quickly rivets us to our seats and the character of Kari Voss, with all her flaws and doubts, is well constructed.

When the Cranes Fly South is a powerful and emotional meditation on life and death, the importance of companionship, and how memories stay with us into old age. The novel is linguistically magnificent and dramatically breathtakingly well-structured, leaving one in awe – Icelandic female writers are currently in a class of their own.

Imagine the nicest person in the world. That’s Sandrine. A cheerful outlook will take you far, and Sandrine is niceness personified. Until one day, she isn’t. ‘All is Well, Always’ is a story about smiling widely and biting your tongue. And about what happens when you suddenly stop.
