Kristina Ohlsson is back with a Christmas novella about August Strindberg’s first ever Christmas holiday as a new resident of Hovenäset.

Winter has the small community of Hovenäset in its icy grip and snow covers the rugged coastal landscape. August’s second-hand store has had a nice start and he himself is head-over-heels for police officer Maria Martinsson.

But then strange things start to happen. August discovers signs of a nighttime visitor who appears to have made their way into his store to flee the cold. Maria meanwhile is pulled into the investigation of the theft of a painting and a kidnapped son. Both she and her colleague Ray-Ray soon suspect that there’s something strange afoot.
