Mysteriet på Örnklippan The Mystery on Eagle’s Cliff

Bonnie and Charles are on the run and they have chosen Shadow Cove to hide in. The small town is home to Bonnie’s grandmother, who lives right next to an old lighthouse on top of a cliff. The children soon realize that Shadow Cove and the lighthouse have some dark secrets. A boy has gone missing in town and is nowhere to be found. There’s whispers of a terrible legend – a headless Avenger that haunts the living from beyond the grave. And one night Bonnie sees the lighthouse flash, despite her grandmother’s claim that it hasn’t been in use for over a hundred years.

The children decide to solve the mystery of the lighthouse and the missing boy. But can Bonnie and Charles do it alone? Who in Shadow Cove can they trust?

Kristina Ohlsson is one of Sweden’s most successful authors. The Mystery on Eagle’s Cliff is a stand-alone children’s suspense novel.

Reviews

  • “A lovely tale within the genre lightly spine-tingling mystery books.”

    BTJ, Sweden

  • “Hold on to your bed covers. Kristina Ohlsson is a master at entertaining.”

    Blekinge Läns Tidning, Sweden

  • “Thrilling and truly frightful at times /…/ That is what is amazing about Kristina Ohlsson’s books: that the reader can both recognize themselves in the everyday and realistic, but at the same time enter a strange and eerie world where anything is possible.”

    Bokkoll, Sweden

  • “Thrilling, and just scary enough for a nine/ten-year-old.”

    Arbetarbladet, Sweden

  • “There is no better author than Kristina Ohlsson when it comes to crafting suspense for voracious young readers.”

    Svenska Dagbladet, Sweden

  • “Ohlsson has done it again: a truly excellent and thrilling book for the voracious reading age – around ten years old.”

    Norra Skåne, Sweden

  • “Kristina Ohlsson’s new book The Mystery on Eagle’s Cliff has the same lucid, tingly and captivating tone as her earlier works. /…/ A real page-turner that balances the frightful ghostliness well. Ohlsson is always sympathetic towards the [characters] and continually leaves them clues to the mystery they’re trying to solve, but also red herrings, which makes the conclusion truly exhilarating.”

    Borås Tidning, Sweden

  • “A rather spine-chilling but at the same time utterly fantastical thriller for young readers. /…/ Scary and suspenseful.”

    Dagens Nyheter, Sweden
