But as soon as they arrive to Santa Cruz, something feels wrong. Did the house really look like this in the pictures? And what does this other couple do in their home? Luckily, he has installed surveillance cameras in every room of the house.
Nothing but the Truth is Stefan Ahnhem’s highly anticipated stand-alone novel. A psychological thriller about how our dreams and fantasies can turn against us, to a point where we don’t even dare to trust ourselves. About how promises are made to be broken, and how the most beautiful of appearances can crumble by the great forces of passion.
The prestigious literary prize of the Vilhelm Moberg-Society is this year awarded to Sofi Oksanen.
The society argues that Sofi Oksanen is a tremendous author that takes great courage in discussing difficult issues and therefore is an obvious winner. She is one of the most influential and important contemporary authors, not least due to her ability to illustrate hardship and different forms of oppression.
The Vilhelm Moberg-Society Prize is awarded annually on April 6th, and the ceremony takes place August 19th in Sweden.
On March 22nd, Sofi Oksanen spoke at the Swedish Academy. With reference to the freedom of speech and democracy, the theme of this year’s Academy Conference was “Thought and Truth under Pressure”.
Sofi spoke on ‘Russia’s war against Women’, inquiring into misogyny as a state policy and an instrument of imperialism.
Her speech was incredibly well received, with reviews describing it as “powerful”, “on point” and “important”.

The limited series is based on Jonas Bonnier’s novel The Helicopter Heist, adapted to the screen by scriptwriter Ronnie Sandahl and directed by Daniel Espinosa.
Ronnie Sandahl, scriptwriter, says: “I wanted to write an epic robbery tale, about great dreams and even greater risks. A feverish, character-driven heist show about friendship, adrenaline, and hubris. I can’t imagine a more perfect director for the series than Daniel Espinosa, and I’m incredibly happy that he’s chosen to step aboard.”
The Helicopter Heist will be Daniel Espinosa’s TV directorial debut. He says: “I have followed and been fascinated by this story ever since it happened. When the opportunity presented itself to do it in a way that does it justice, with Ronnie and Netflix and the entire crew behind it, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.”

Entertainingly enough the biggest emotions are here hidden within the smallest of actions, that are also hugely relatable. /…/ The questions it raises are many, the tone is light and the plot firmly down to earth – however flavoured with an astounding psychological insight.

Roslund builds an incredibly exciting story that kept me up way too long because I wanted to know how it ends.

Amazingly good, of course. /…/ [Some series] really are so incredibly good that you want nothing else but for them to continue.

The Devil’s Trick is, exactly like the other Hoffman & Grens novels, a really cleverly told story. With a combination of social engagement, psychological depth, and action, Anders Roslund shows who is the boss of suspense novels.
