Ahnhem and Holt on the weekly Norwegian bestseller list

Stefan Ahnhem’s The Final Nail continues to feature on the official Norwegian bestseller list and claims the No. 1 placement on the e-book list for the third consecutive week, while also grabbing No. 4 on the hardcover fiction list for the second week in a row. Anne Holt’s The Eleventh Manuscript keeps its No. 2 spot on the e-book list.

Kristina Ohlsson and Anders Hansen No. 1 in Sweden

Kristina Ohlsson’s just published Icebreaker, the second installment in her August Strindberg-series, enters the official Swedish bestseller list for ebooks at No. 1 and the equivalent for hardcover fiction at No. 2 this week. Anders Hansen’s Brain Blues stays firmly put at at No. 1 on the non-fiction list, while also claiming the No. 1 spot in audio.

‘The Polar Circle’ No. 1 in Iceland

Liza Marklund’s The Polar Circle, the first installment in her new trilogy, was the most sold book in Iceland in October, across all genres.

Trailer premier for ‘An honest Christmas with the Knyckertz’

The trailer for this year’s Christmas calender, An honest Christmas with the Knyckertz, has been released. The series is based on the books about the Knyckertz family written by Anders Sparring and Sparring is also writing the script for the series, with Leif Lindblom directing.

An honest Christmas with the Knyckertz will premiere on SVT December 1st.

‘Eva & Adam’ awarded at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck

The Nordic Film Days have a long and storied tradition in Lübeck, and from 3-7 November, over 130 films from Scandinavia and the Baltic region were presented. Caroline Cowan’s praised feature film Eva & Adam received the Children’s Jury Award, with the following motivation: “One film really won us over. We thought it was very appropriate for our age group and the young actors were totally believable. It was a tender and funny film that also spoke to the subject of animal welfare.”

The official soundtrack to ‘The Labyrinth’ released by Lakeshore Records

The official soundtrack to Simon Stålenhag’s narrative art novel The Labyrinth, composed by Simon himself, has now been released by Lakeshore Records.
Lakeshore Records is the four-time Grammy Nominated record label behind critically acclaimed soundtracks such as Drive, Stranger Things and Moonlight among many others.

Sissela Nelander joins Salomonsson Agency

The Swedish rising star screenwriter Sissela Nelander has a background in writing for theatre and web series. She has a Bachelor in Literary Studies and also attended the Literary Composition program at the renowned HDK-Valand-Academy of Art and Design. 

In 2019 Nelander’s play Hymn till Persefone was performed at the Paradiso Festival at Turteatern, and her subsequent production GUNNARMATERIALET saw its premiere in 2020 at the Arrival project in Gothenburg. 

Together with her comedy group Oskönheter she co-created and wrote the web series Kollektivet, working with the production company ENT. Nelander has also, together with a script group, developed a TV series for the production company Splay with support from SFI. 

Nelander is currently writing the screenplay for the adaptation of a hit Swedish novel, more details to be released soon. 

‘Exit’ season 2 nominated for ‘Best Returning Series’ in C21 International Drama Awards

The second season of Exit, Øystein Karlsen’s runaway success series, has been nominated for the prestigious C21 International Drama Awards in the ‘Best Returning Series’ category, alongside gigantic series like The Crown and La Casa de Papel, productions with around 100 million dollars more in budget than Exit. The other nominees in this category are Line of Duty, Baptiste and The Good Fight.

The winners will be announced at the International Drama Awards Ceremony in London on December 2nd.

‘Brain Blues’ and ‘1795’ on the weekly Swedish bestseller lists

Anders Hansen’s just published Brain Blues goes straight to No. 1 on both the official Swedish bestseller list for hardcover non-fiction and the equivalent for e-books, while also claiming the No. 3 spot in the audio category. Niklas Natt och Dag’s 1795 comes in at No. 2 on the e-book list this week.
