K. Svensson’s debut, The Winterman Files, and Ulf Kvensler’s Let the Waves Do the Rest have both been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 Swedish Academy of Crime Writers’ Award in the categories of ‘Best Debut Crime Novel’ and ‘Best Swedish Crime Novel’, respectively.
The winners will be announced on November 30.
Monika Fagerholm’s highly acclaimed novel Nowhere Land / Women in Revolt has been nominated for the 2025 Finlandia Award, Finland’s most prestigious literary prize.
The jury says the following about the novel: “The author’s style is inimitable: sentences are interrupted by clarifications, side notes, and cultural references, which deepen the characters and enhance the intensity of the narrative.”
The winning title will be announced on the 27th of November.

The nominees for this year’s Adlibris Awards in Finland have been announced. A jury of Adlibris staff selected five contenders in each of seven categories—based on sales, popularity, and potential. The categories include Fiction of the Year, Thriller of the Year, Non-Fiction of the Year, Children’s Book of the Year, plus new categories for Young Adult, Lifestyle, and Translated Novel. Winners will be decided by a public vote.

The nominees for the Swedish 2025 Adlibris Awards have just been revealed. Adlibris, the leading book retailer in the Nordic region, established the award in 2019 to honor the platform’s most popular titles. While a jury of Adlibris employees selected the nominees, the winners will be chosen through a public vote.
Ulf Lundell’s Weekday 12 is recognized in the “Fiction of the Year” category.
The “Crime Fiction” category features Kristina Ohlsson’s Nightshifter, Pascal Engman’s The Clan, and Lars Kepler’s The Sailor.
Björn Nattiko Lindeblad’s From Björn Natthiko Lindeblad. With an open hand is nominated in the “Non-fiction” category.
Estrid Klint’s Ran competes in the “Young Adult of the Year” category.
