Premiere date and first look images for Netflix’s adaptation of Stefan Ahnhem’s ‘A Couple of Lies’
Netflix has just announced the launch date for their adaptation of Stefan Ahnhem’s psychological thriller novel A Couple of Lies. The four-part series will premiere globally on October 30.
The main cast consists of Emma Appleton (Traitors), Fares Fares (Chernobyl), Frida Gustavsson (Vikings: Valhalla), and Jakob Oftebro (Stenbeck). Produced by Frida Asp and Fatima Varhos for Asp Varhos, the series is directed by Kasper Barfoed and adapted for screen by Amanda Högberg and Axel Stjärne.
In an effort to save their marriage, Helene (Frida Gustavsson) and Carl (Fares Fares) trade their home in Stockholm’s archipelago for a sun-drenched villa in Sicily, swapping lives for some weeks with Scarlett (Emma Appleton) and Adam (Jakob Oftebro), a couple they’ve never met. But as they settle into each other’s houses, unsettling details begin to surface. As secrets emerge and hidden betrayals come to light, what started as a picture‑perfect escape slowly warps into a twisted game of surveillance, manipulation and mistrust.
