Stockholm Requiem, directed by Karin Fahlén and based on Kristina Ohlsson’s best-selling Fredrika Bergman novels, has caught the eye of the British press, among else Entertainment Focus which calls the series “spectacular” and “fabulous”. The publication adds that “Crime-drama of this quality doesn’t come along that often. Definitely one to watch.”
The 10-episode crime drama series was acquired by Walter Presents for the UK and Australia, and premiered on UK Channel Four on January 26.
Tales From the Loop, the TV series based on Simon Stålenhag’s debut work of the same title, along with its sequel Things from the Flood, will have its world premiere at SXSW (South by Southwest) this March. The festival will run between March 13-22, and will as always take place in Austin, Texas, US.
Week 3’s bestseller lists in Sweden see Kristina Ohlsson’s The Mystery of the Haunted Fortress appear at No. 3 on the children’s list. Jo Nesbø’s just published paperback edition of Knife is No. 4 on the list of the same category, and Niklas Natt och Dag’s 1794 is No. 5 in e-book.

Mystery Writers of America have announced the nominees for the coveted Edgar Allan Poe Award, a prestigious award for excellence in the mystery genre, and Wisting is nominated for ‘Best TV Episode Teleplay’.
The detective series is based on Jørn Lier Horst’s bestselling books about police inspector William Wisting and is co-created and written by director Trygve Allister Diesen and Katherine Valen Zeiner. Wisting is streaming on Sundance Now in the U.S. and airing on BBC Four in the UK.
The winners will be presented at the Edgar Awards gala on April 30, 2020.
