Jo Nesbø’s latest standalone novel, Wolf Hour, has reached No. 3 on the official fiction bestseller list in the Czech Republic.
The Swedish bestseller lists are out, with Lars Kepler’s newest novel, The Sailor, claiming the top spot on the hardcover chart.
The Danish drama series Reservatet (Secrets We Keep) was the big winner at this year’s Series Awards in Denmark, taking home an impressive six prizes. Among its wins were Best Series, Best Screenplay, Best Direction and Best Lead Actor.
Reservatet is created by Ingeborg Topsøe and directed by Per Fly.
On 6 November, Swedish broadcaster TV4 launched its bold new science-fiction drama Vi kommer i fred.
In the lead roles are Evin Ahmad and Fares Fares. The supporting cast includes Agnes Kittelsen, Agnes Rase, Khalil Ghazal, Suzanne Reuter, Christian Hillborg, Martin Nick and Nina Mårshagen.
The series is written by Lars Lundström and directed by Jens Jonsson, together with Mani Maserrat.
Viewers in Sweden will be able to stream the first episode on TV4 Play Plus from 6 November, followed by linear broadcast.
K. Svensson’s debut, The Winterman Files, and Ulf Kvensler’s Let the Waves Do the Rest have both been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 Swedish Academy of Crime Writers’ Award in the categories of ‘Best Debut Crime Novel’ and ‘Best Swedish Crime Novel’, respectively.
The winners will be announced on November 30.
Monika Fagerholm’s highly acclaimed novel Nowhere Land / Women in Revolt has been nominated for the 2025 Finlandia Award, Finland’s most prestigious literary prize.
The jury says the following about the novel: “The author’s style is inimitable: sentences are interrupted by clarifications, side notes, and cultural references, which deepen the characters and enhance the intensity of the narrative.”
The winning title will be announced on the 27th of November.

The nominees for the Swedish 2025 Adlibris Awards have just been revealed. Adlibris, the leading book retailer in the Nordic region, established the award in 2019 to honor the platform’s most popular titles. While a jury of Adlibris employees selected the nominees, the winners will be chosen through a public vote.
Ulf Lundell’s Weekday 12 is recognized in the “Fiction of the Year” category.
The “Crime Fiction” category features Kristina Ohlsson’s Nightshifter, Pascal Engman’s The Clan, and Lars Kepler’s The Sailor.
Björn Nattiko Lindeblad’s From Björn Natthiko Lindeblad. With an open hand is nominated in the “Non-fiction” category.
Estrid Klint’s Ran competes in the “Young Adult of the Year” category.
Finally, in the “Children’s Book of the Year, Ages 6-12” category, Martin Widmark has received a nomination for The Smuggler Mystery, and Anders Hansen and Mats Wänblad are nominated for The Real Happy Pill Minior.
The winning titles will be announced on January 28, 2026.
