The Man Who Died, Antti Tuomainen’s dark, thrilling and humorous novel, has been shortlisted for the Petrona Award 2018 for ‘Best Scandinavian Crime Novel of the Year’. The international crime fiction convention CrimeFest will present the winner of the award at a gala dinner on May 19th.
The official Swedish bestseller lists for the third week of April have been released. Jo Nesbø’s Macbeth comes in at No. 2 on the hardcover fiction list as well as the audiobook and e-book lists. Meanwhile, Niklas Natt och Dag’s 1793 claims the No. 2 spot on the paperback list, and stays put at No. 5 on the e-book list.
Jo Nesbø’s Macbeth is also this week No. 1 on the official Norwegian bestseller lists for hardcover fiction and e-books. Jørn Lier Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandnes’ Operation Shipwreck likewise stays at No. 3 on the hardcover list. Kristina Ohlsson meanwhile dominates the paperback bestseller list, claiming three of the top five positions with her Unwanted at No. 2, The Disappeared at No. 3 and The Chosen at No. 5.

Niklas Natt och Dag’s brilliant debut 1793 has been shortlisted for Bonnier’s Book Clubs’ Book of the Year Award. Bonnier’s Book Clubs is the home of five Swedish book clubs, among them the biggest one in Sweden. The winning book and author will be announced during the Gothenburg Book Fair.
