The audio book streaming services Storytel, Nextory and BookBeat have announced their most listened to books of 2017 in Sweden.

On the children’s and YA lists of Storytel and Nextory, Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin’s The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep comes in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. Forssén Ehrlin’s second Sleep Series title, The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep, appears at No. 5 on the Nextory list.

On BookBeat’s fiction list, Lars Kepler’s The Rabbit Hunter comes in at No. 2, Jens Lapidus’ Top Dog at No. 3, and Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst at No. 4. The list for fiction, crime titles excluded, is topped by Fredrik Backman’s Beartown at No. 1.

The TV series Yes No Maybe, created by Mads Rosenkrantz Grage and produced by Good Company Films, has been nominated for the Robert Award for “Best Short Television Series.” The Danish equivalent to the American Oscars, the Robert Award acknowledges the outstanding contributions of a person or a film to Danish film and television during the previous year.

Yes No Maybe follows Mads on a series of dates in the heart of Copenhagen and explores whether or not true love can be found in the addictive world of online swipe-dating.

The winner will be announced on February 4th, 2018.

The official Swedish bestseller lists for 2017 have just been released, and Lars Kepler’s The Rabbit Hunter can be found at No. 2 on the list for fiction, closely followed by Leif GW Persson’s Can One Die Twice? at No. 5. Anders de la Motte dominates the bestseller lists for audio books and e-books with End of Summer, coming in at No. 1 on both lists. On the e-book list we also find Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst, at No. 4.
