Modus 2 has been announced as one of the finalists in C21’s International Drama Awards, which are voted for by the world’s leading scripted commissioners and buyers. Modus 2 is joined in the category ‘Best Returning Drama Series’ by The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger things and Ozark, among others.

The hit TV series, one of the most successful Scandinavian series to have aired on BBC, is written by the acclaimed screenwriting duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe. Lisa Siwe is the concept director for the second season and Miso Film is the production company behind the praised crime series, which is based on Anne Holt’s Inger Johanne Vik series.

The winners will be announced at the International Drama Awards ceremony on November 28 as part of Content London 2018.

The official Swedish bestseller lists for the month of October are out, and Lars Kepler’s Lazarus takes home three No. 1 spots in the categories hardcover, audio and e-books. Jonas Gardell’s In Memory of an Unconditional Love claims the No. 5 position on the hardcover list, and Anders de la Motte comes in at No. 5 in the audio category with Dead of Winter. Niklas Natt och Dag’s The Wolf and the Watchman is No. 3 on the paperback list and No. 5 on the e-book one.

Lars Kepler’s Lazarus continues to feature at the top of the Norwegian bestseller lists, this week coming in at No. 1 on the e-book list and No. 2 on the hardcover one. Jørn Lier Horst’s The Innermost Room comes in just after on the e-book list, at No. 2.

The Doll is the fifth installment in Yrsa Sigurdardóttir’s series about the psychologist Freyja and the police officer Huldar.

Lars Kepler and Anders de la Motte both score hat-tricks on the Swedish bestseller lists this week. Lars Kepler does so by claiming the No. 1 spot on the hardcover, audio and e-book lists with the seventh Joona Linna novel, Lazarus. Anders de la Motte rakes home three No. 4 placements on the same lists with his Dead of Winter. On the paperback list, Niklas Natt och Dag’s The Wolf and the Watchman stays put at No. 3.

Karin Fahlén is the director of the acclaimed Stockholm Stories (2013), the box office success All Inclusive (2017) and this year’s major crime series production from CMore/TV4: STHLM Requiem. The stylish and hair-raising series, based on Kristina Ohlsson’s novels, premiered on October 3.
