The official Swedish bestseller lists of week 11 (March 11-17th) are topped by among else Lars Kepler, who claim the No. 1 spot in the hardcover category with Lazarus. Also on the hardcover list is Hjorth & Rosenfeldt’s A Higher Justice – No. 3 this week – and Jo Nesbø, who comes in at No. 5 with The Thirst.

In the paperback category, Stina Jackson’s The Silver Road comes in at No. 4, additionally landing the No. 2 spot on the e-book list. Leif GW Persson’s memoir Master Detective Willy: the Story of My Career also claims a No. 2 placement, coming in second on the nonfiction list.

Hjorth & Rosenfeldt’s sixth novel, A Higher Justice, stays at No. 2 on the official weekly bestseller lists for e-books in Norway. The title also climbs the hardcover list, coming in at No. 4. Hedvig Montgomery’s Parental Magic likewise climbs, jumping one spot to No. 3 on the nonfiction list.

Tales from the Loop, the TV series based on Simon Stålenhag’s debut work of the same title along with its sequel Things from the Flood, starts shooting today in Winnipeg, Canada.

The eight episode series will explore the town and people who live above “The Loop,” a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe, making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction. In this fantastical, mysterious town, poignant human tales are told that bare universal emotional experiences while drawing on the intrigue of genre storytelling.

The eight episode series, co-produced by Amazon Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios, will star Golden Globe-nominated Rebecca Hall (Vicky Christina Barcelona) who plays the female lead, a gifted physicist named Loretta. Nathaniel Halpern (Legion) will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the series, and Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go) will direct the pilot.

The Hunt for the Hwitters is the second installment in Johan Theorin’s The Jarmaland Chronicles and a breathless continuation of the epic historical fantasy that began in The Battle for Salajak.

The wait is almost over for this spring’s great crime drama Wisting, Norway’s biggest ever drama production. On April 11, two episodes will be released on the Viaplay streaming service, and the first episode will air on TV3 Norway.

The series is based on two of Jørn Lier Horst’s bestselling novels about policeman William Wisting: The Caveman and The Hunting Dogs. The much-anticipated crime series is directed by Trygve Allister Diesen, who is also the writer and creator together with Kathrine Valen Zeiner.

Niklas Natt och Dag and Anders de la Motte are both shortlisted for the Norwegian Golden Bullet Award. The award, which was first handed out in 2017, highlights translated crime fiction published during the past year. Niklas Natt och Dag and Anders de la Motte have been shortlisted for The Wolf and the Watchman and Deeds of Fall respectively, and are two of the six authors and titles nominated. The winning author and title will be announced on March 21st, during the opening day of the crime fiction festival Krimfestivalen.
