The success crime drama series The Truth Will Out has been nominated for ‘Best Drama’, ‘Best Male Actor’ (Robert Gustafsson) and ‘Best Female Actor’ (Ia Langhammer) at the 2019 Kristallen Awards. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on August 30.

The Truth Will Out is written by Aron Levander and Hans Jörnlind, and is based on an original idea by the award-winning author and criminologist Leif GW Persson.

The hit series premiered on Channel 5 in Sweden in August 2018 and is available on the SVOD platform Viaplay.

Week 32’s (August 5th – 11th) official bestseller lists for Norway see Jo Nesbø’s Knife appear at No. 1 on the hardcover list, as well as No. 3 on the e-book one. Jørn Lier Horst & Thomas Enger join him on the e-book list, coming in at No. 5 with Smoke Screen.

In the paperback category Stefan Ahnhem’s Motive X is No. 4, and Jørn Lier Horst’s The Cabin is No. 5.

A Hustler’s Diary – The Series, created by Ivica Zubac (left) and Abbe Hassan (right), will premiere on SVT in 2020. The series is an eight-part stand-alone sequel to the film A Hustler’s Diary (2017) and follows the main character Metim, now out of prison and back to living with his mother and younger brother. Metim still hopes to become an author or maybe an actor – quite simply, to become rich and famous.

The series will be directed by Abbe Hassan and Ivica Zubac and is written by Ivica Zubac along with Marcelo Obon and Can Demirtas.

Jørn Lier Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandndes grab the two top spots on the official July bestseller list for children’s books in Norway. The Search for the Magician’s Tome is No. 1, staying firm at the top since the previous month, and Operation Sable Forest jumps to No. 2.

The official monthly bestseller lists for July have just been announced, and Jo Nesbø’s Knife grabs the No. 1 spot on the hardcover list, the audio list and the e-book list. Anders Roslund’s novel Knock Knock, published on July 19th, comes in at No. 2 in both hardcover and e-book. Lars Kepler’s Lazarus nabs the No. 5 spot in the hardcover category.

Among this week’s bestsellers is Jo Nesbø’s Knife, the twelfth Harry Hole novel. Nesbø holds the No. 1 spot on the hardcover list and No. 2 in the e-book category. The author duo Jørn Lier Horst & Thomas Enger’s Smoke Screen comes in as No. 3 in e-book and No. 5 in hardcover.

On the paperback list, Stefan Ahnhem’s Motive X, the fourth title in the Fabian Risk series, places as No. 3. Lars Kepler’s Lazarus, the seventh installment in the Joona Linna series, grabs the No. 4 placement. The No. 5 spot sees Jørn Lier Horst’s The Cabin, the second novel in the Cold Case Quartet.

Stina Jackson, author of the long-running suspense bestseller The Silver Road, is the winner of this year’s Glass Key award. The highly coveted award, named after the novel The Glass Key by American crime writer Dashiell Hammett, is handed out annually by the members of the Crime Writers of Scandinavia to a crime novel written by a Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian or Swedish author. This marks the 28th year and award since the Glass Key’s inception.
