Fredrik Backman is back with this year’s rowdiest novel.

Anxious People is an unreasonably riotous comedy about a hostage drama during an open house. A failed bank robber locks themselves in with an over-enthusiastic real estate agent, two bitter IKEA-addicts, a pregnant woman, a suicidal multi-millionaire and a damn rabbit. In the end the robber gives up and lets everyone go, but when the police storm the apartment it is…empty.

In a series of dysfunctional testimonies afterwards, the witnesses all tell their version of what really happened, whereupon a classic puzzle mystery develops around the questions: How did the robber manage to escape? Why is everyone so angry? And: What is WRONG with people these days?

Hjorth & Rosenfeldt’s A Higher Justice is No. 4 on the Dutch hardcover bestseller list for crime fiction this week.

Sofia Lundberg’s second novel, the heartwarming and moving A Question Mark Is Half a Heart, has been nominated for the Feel Good Festival’s Feel Good Novel of the Year Award. The award will be handed out in connection with the festival, which will take place on August 10th in Mariefred, Sweden.

Stina Jackson and Jonas Gardell have both been shortlisted for Bonnier’s Book Clubs’ Book of the Year Award. Jackson for her internationally bestselling debut The Silver Road, and Gardell for his In Memory of an Unconditional Love, the most sold literary novel in Sweden last year.

Soni Jorgensen is a Swedish screenwriter with extensive international experience, crossing borders and genres. Jorgensen is particularly known for her skill in balancing drama with comedy and is also passionate about writing thriller/crime.

Jorgensen has worked as script consultant for numerous films, including the Swedish box-office hit As It Is in Heaven (2004), which was nominated for an Academy Award for ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ and sold worldwide. In 2015, Jorgensen worked as a dialogue coach on Fox’s TV Show American Horror Story Hotel for showrunner Ryan Murphy (The People v. O. J. Simpson, Glee, Nip/Tuck).

2019 saw the premiere of the feature film King of Atlantis, which Jorgensen co-produced. Jorgensen is also writer for a video game together with director and game creator Josef Fares, for Hazelight Studios and EA.

Wisting premiered April 11 on Viaplay and became an immediate success. It is the most viewed drama series premiere in Norway, beating all other premieres for Viaplay originals in the Nordic countries.
