Almost no one has heard of the Name Bearer. Not because he isn’t important, because he is. He’s just as important as Santa Claus, the Tooth fairy, or the Easter Bunny.

Maja Lunde has written a clever and enchanting book about a character that probably only a very few have heard of – the Name Bearer. He lives in a crack between the ocean and the sky, where he cares for the name-flowers, from which all children’s names come. He’s good at his job, but one day he accidently sends the wrong name to a baby. Now the shy and quiet Name Bearer must set out on a journey to correct his mistake.

The Name Bearer is a beautiful and moving book, illustrated by Hans Jørgen Sandnes.
