Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove jumps up once more to the No. 2 spot on the New York Times Best Seller List. This week marks the novel’s 24th consecutive week on the bestseller list. My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry climbs the list as well, coming in at No. 5 in its 8th consecutive week featured.
Erik Axl Sund’s The Crow Girl has been chosen by the New York Post as one of this summer’s must-read books. Calling it one of the “buzziest books” of the season, the Post hails the novel as “an extraordinary, complex, unpredictable piece of work.”
The Crow Girl, a merged edition of all three books in the Victoria Bergman trilogy, will be published in the US on June 14th.
Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove has been voted the No. 1 book club pick for May by 120.000 book club readers and 39.000 book clubs in the US. That places A Man Called Ove firmly at No. 1 on Shelf Awareness’ Top Book Club Picks in May. Fredrik Backman’s second novel, My Grandmother Told Me to Tell You She’s Sorry, is also listed as a Rising Star.
A Man Called Ove continues to place in the top also on The New York Times Best Seller List, coming in at No. 3 in its 23rd consecutive week on the list. This is the first time ever that a non-Japanese author has claimed the No. 1 position, as is it the first time ever that a children’s book has done so.
