Kristina Ohlsson’s Unwanted comes in at No. 4 on the official Norwegian paperback list for the fourth week of January. Unwanted is the first installment in Ohlsson’s Fredrika Bergman series.
The official January bestseller list for children’s books in Norway is in, and Jørn Lier Horst makes a double appearance at the top. At No. 1 is his latest book in the CLUE series, The Triangle Mystery. It is closely followed at No. 2 by Operation Mummy, the twelfth book in the Detective Agency No. 2 series by Jørn Lier Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandnes. Claiming the last spot on the podium is Bobbie Peers’ third William Wenton novel, William Wenton and the Orbulator Agent, at No. 3.
In Oskar Söderlund’s Greyzone we get to follow Victoria Rahbek, a drone engineer who is taken hostage by a group of terrorists.
Meanwhile, security police officer Eva Forsberg is given a new assignment – to create and lead a taskforce between Sweden and Denmark dedicated to preventing and actively combating terrorism.
Greyzone premieres on February 22 on the Swedish broadcaster TV4’s streaming service C More and on February 25 on the Danish broadcaster TV2.
Niklas Natt och Dag’s debut novel 1793 is No. 2 on the official Swedish bestseller list for hardcover fiction for the third week of January. 1793 also claims a spot on the e-book bestseller list, where it comes in at No. 3. Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst meanwhile comes in at No. 5 on the paperback list.

Fury, a new thriller series created by Emmy Award winning Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen (Mammon), will be be presented at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival. Stenberg Eriksen teamed up with Hollywood director Roar Uthaug to create this exciting new show that brings to mind Homeland and Jason Bourne.
The series, which is a Monster Scripted production, starts off in a small Norwegian community where a conflict develops around a refugee center. When two undercover detectives start investigating the matter, they are drawn into a precarious scheme involving a large European network of right-wing extremism.
Fury will be presented on February 21st at the Berlin International Film Festival for the Drama Series Days.

Jørn Lier Horst’s The Triangle Mystery leaps up to No. 2 on the official Norwegian bestseller list for hardcover fiction during the second week of January. The Triangle Mystery is the twelfth book in the CLUE series.
SF Studios, the production company behind the film adaptation of A Man Called Ove, is making a feature film based on Britt-Marie Was Here, Fredrik Backman’s beloved novel about a woman who’s waited her entire life for life to begin. Pernilla August (Star Wars) will play the lead role of Britt-Marie and Tuva Novotny will direct.

Just like in the popular and touching novel, the film will tell the story of 63-year-old Britt-Marie, who is suddenly ejected from her comfortable world and forced to start over again, all on her own.

The film shooting will start in the beginning of April in Västra Götaland, on the western coast of Sweden. The casting process for the film’s other roles is currently in full swing.
The audio book streaming services Storytel, Nextory and BookBeat have announced their most listened to books of 2017 in Sweden.
On the children’s and YA lists of Storytel and Nextory, Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin’s The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep comes in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. Forssén Ehrlin’s second Sleep Series title, The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep, appears at No. 5 on the Nextory list.
On BookBeat’s fiction list, Lars Kepler’s The Rabbit Hunter comes in at No. 2, Jens Lapidus’ Top Dog at No. 3, and Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst at No. 4. The list for fiction, crime titles excluded, is topped by Fredrik Backman’s Beartown at No. 1.
Kristina Ohlsson’s No. 1 international bestseller Buried Lies is the fourth most sold paperback of 2017 in Germany. Buried Lies is the first installment in the Martin Benner series.
