The official Swedish bestseller lists for week 30 (the 22nd-28th of July) see Anders Roslund claim top positions in several categories. His crime novel Knock Knock was released in Sweden on 19th of July and went straight to No. 1 on the hardcover list. Roslund also claims No. 1 and No. 2 in audio, as well as No. 1 in e-book. Jo Nesbø comes in at No. 2 in the hardcover category, No. 3 in audio and No. 2 in e-book with Knife, the latest title in the Harry Hole series.

Anders Sparring is a well-established writer of TV series for children and the author of several successful children’s novels. More recently Sparring has moved in the direction of developing and writing for big drama productions, striving for originality, authenticity, and a focus on the people that are often pushed into the background. Sparring is equally passionate about writing comedy; he is himself a celebrated stand-up comedian.

Throughout his career, Sparring has written for many popular TV shows and gained extensive experience in writing for animated series and for dolls. In 2017, he received a Guldbagge nomination for his screenplay The World of Dolores and Gunellen.

Sparring is currently working on the second season of the hit TV series The Hunters, and the film adaptation of the praised Malin Fors series, based on the books by Mons Kallentoft.

He also nabs the No. 2 position on the audio list. Lars Kepler joins him in the hardcover category at No. 4 with Lazarus, the seventh novel in the Joona Linna series.

Jo Nesbø’s Knife, published in the US by Knopf last week, debuts at No. 6 on the New York Times bestseller list for hardcover fiction, and at No. 5 on the combined print & e-book list.

Johannes Nyholm’s horror film Koko-di Koko-da, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, is set to be released in theatres in Sweden on August 24th.

In Koko-di Koko-da a couple goes on a vacation in order to reconnect following a family tragedy. They are then confronted by their inner demons in the form of a surreal circus company that pulls them into a maelstrom of psychological terror.

Koko-di Koko-da has been nominated for multiple awards including the ‘Grand Jury Prize’ at the Sundance Festival, the ‘Tiger Award’ at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and ‘Best Nordic Film’ at the Gothenburg Film Festival.

Knife, his twelth Harry Hole installment, comes in at No. 1 on both the hardcover and e-book lists and in addition nabs the No. 3 spot on the audio one. In the hardcover category he is joined by Lars Kepler who claims the No. 4 spot with long-running bestseller Lazarus, the seventh installment in the Joona Linna series.
