Lina Bengtsdotter’s For the Dead claims the No. 10 spot on Der Spiegel’s bestseller list for week 33. This marks the novel’s third consecutive week in the top 10.

The shortlist for the 2020 CWA Crime Fiction in Translation Dagger has been announced, and among the six remaining nominees vying for the coveted award is Antti Tuomainen, with Little Siberia. The award’s winner will be announced during a ceremony on October 22.

Lina Bengtsdotter’s second Charlie Lager novel For the Dead comes in at No. 9 on Der Spiegel’s bestseller list for paperbacks in Germany. This is the novel's second consecutive week in top 10. Meanwhile, the title grabs the No. 8 spot on the Swiss bestseller list for paperbacks.

This week sees Anders Roslund land the No. 1 spot in e-book, No. 2 spot in hardcover and No. 3 spot in audio on the Swedish bestseller lists, with his novel Sweet Dreams. Its predecessor Knock Knock meanwhile features at No. 4 on both the paperback and e-book lists. In the paperback category Roslund is also joined by Simona Ahrnstedt, who comes in at No. 8 with Just a bit More.

Jørn Lier Horst & Thomas Enger's third Blix & Ramm novel Unhinged keeps going strong in Norway, coming in at No. 1 in e-book and No. 3 in hardcover on this week's bestseller lists. Horst also makes an appearance at No. 4 in hardcover, with his and Hans Jørgen Sandnes' The Search for the Last Dinosaur, as well as at No. 4 in paperback with The Inner Darkness. In paperback he is further joined by Jo Nesbø, who claims the No. 3 spot with Knife and Stefan Ahnhem who nabs the No. 5 spot with his_ X Ways to Die_.

This week Unhinged, the third and recently published Blix & Ramm novel by Jørn Lier Horst & Thomas Enger, stays firmly put in No. 1 in e-book and No. 2 in hardcover on the Norwegian bestseller lists, whilst its predecessor Smoke Screen makes an appearance at No. 9 in paperback. Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandnes' The Search for the Last Dinosaur features at No. 4 on the hardcover list. In the paperback category, for the second week running, we also find Jo Nesbø's Knife in the No. 3 spot, Jørn Lier Horst's The Inner Darkness at No. 4 and Stefan Ahnhem's_ X Ways to Die_ at No. 5.

There’s no disputing that the biggest children’s books duo of the decade in Norway is Jørn Lier Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandnes. The author/illustrator duo’s series about Detective Agency No. 2 claims a whopping 17 placements on the top 100 list of most sold titles 2010-2020. Fourteen of those titles are in the top 50, and four in the top 10, with Operation Thundercloud coming in at No. 4, Operation Summer Island at No. 6, Operation Shadowman at No. 9, and Operation Sunset at No. 10.

Horst & Sandnes are not the only ones to feature several times over on the list: Jo Nesbø and Bobbie Peers also appear multiple times, staking their claim as trendsetters within children’s fiction. Jo Nesbø grabs 4 spots with his Doktor Proctor series, and Bobbie Peers nabs 2 with his William Wenton series.
