Siggan ja Satun islantilaiset villapaidat Sigga and Satu’s Icelandic Wool Sweaters

This book presents wool sweater patterns developed in collaboration between knitwear designer Sigríður Sif Gylfadóttir, known as “Sigga,” and Satu Rämö. Designed especially for Icelandic yarns, the collection honors the island’s saga heritage while adding a touch of playful charm.

Together with her Icelandic designer friend Sigga, Satu Rämö joins the knitting boom, presenting 13 irresistibly charming new patterns straight from Iceland’s Westfjords. The sweaters are designed using Léttlopi, Álafosslopi, fine Einband wool, and unspun Plötulopi. Alongside clear, easy-to-follow instructions, the book provides insights into the history of Iceland’s “national garment,” local yarns, and the lives of Icelandic sheep. Some patterns are perfect for beginners, while tips for customizing the designs will delight more experienced knitters. The book even includes the pattern for the sweater featured in Satu Rämö’s debut crime novel, Hildur!
