The Finnish bestseller list for April has just been announced and Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst is No. 1 on the hardcover list for translated fiction
Jonas Bonnier’s critically acclaimed The Helicopter Heist has gone straight to No. 4 on the Swedish official bestseller list for hardcover fiction.
Hjorth & Rosenfeldt’s Those Who Failed, the fifth installment in their Sebastian Bergman series, is No. 3 on the bestseller list for paperback fiction in Norway. Additionally, The Silent Girl, the fourth novel in the series, is No. 3 in Slovakia this week.
Jørn Lier Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandnes’ Operation Pirate continues to rule the Norwegian children’s books bestseller list, coming in at No. 1 also on the April list. Jørn Lier Horst’s The Einstein Mystery, the recently published eleventh installment in Horst’s CLUE series for children aged 9-12, comes in at No. 3.
Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst remains at the No. 1 spot on the Sunday Times bestseller list for hardcover fiction in the UK this week, as well as remaining No. 1 in Ireland and New Zealand.
Kristina Ohlsson’s Buried Lies, the first book in the Martin Benner diptych, has jumped to No. 5 on Der Spiegel’s bestseller lists for paperbacks in Germany.
Fredrik Backman’s Beartown, published in the US just last week, has gone straight to No. 5 on the New York Times Best Seller List for hardcover fiction. A Man Called Ove, Fredrik Backman’s first novel, continues its long-running streak on the bestseller list for paperback fiction, coming in at No. 7 in its 70th week on the list.
Jo Nesbø’s The Thirst has shot to No. 1 on the official bestseller list for hardcover fiction in New Zealand.
