Kristina Ohlsson winner of the Crimetime Specsavers Award
Kristina Ohlsson is the winner of 2017’s Crimetime Specsavers Award in the category ‘Children’s Crime Fiction of the Year’. Ohlsson won the award for her two books Zombie Fever and The Werewolf’s Secret, and was lauded by the jury as one of Sweden’s great masters of suspense.
“These are horror stories that grab hold of the reader right from the get-go. The latest book is a feverish, pulse-elevating tale that will make you want to lock all doors the next time you hear a dog howl. Surroundings, people and folk tales are woven together in a skillful way and those who can’t feel the chills running down their spine are surely something else than human… The protagonist’s life story is a gripping subplot with a wonderful grandfather, a best friend, and a secret brother as supporting characters. [Kristina Ohlsson] knows the art of writing original content for young and old alike, books that evoke a love for reading and are topical. She is one of Sweden’s truly great masters of suspense.”
