Vindmakeren

Vindmakeren The Windmaker

The Seasonal Quartet #3

It’s June, and this year’s summer break will be different from the rest. A terrible war has finally ended in Tobias’ country, and while all the adults must rebuild the cities, the children are sent to the countryside. Tobias wishes to be sent to a farm that has real butter, fresh milk, and plenty of nice people. Instead, he travels far away to the coast and must live with Lothe, a sulky and quiet fisherman.

But one day, Tobias finds a locked room in Lothe’s house, filled with strange paintings. Tobias’ curiosity is sparked, and he soon starts to unravel an old mystery. Who was the child who once lived in the house? What has happened to the fire-damaged lighthouse on the edge of the cliffs? And who is the Windmaker?

The Windmaker is a story about finding the way back to yourself after painful experiences, and a tribute to playfulness, creativity, and imagination. Maja Lunde and Lisa Aisato continue The Seasonal Quartet with a story that will give you summer all year around, filled with the song of seagulls, wild strawberries, and everlasting friendships.
