‘Operation Pirate’ published in Norway

Operation Pirate, the eleventh installment in Jørn Lier Horst & Hans Jørgen Sandnes’ Detective Agency No. 2 series, is finally out in Norwegian bookstores!

During a beachside investigation Tiril and Oliver happen across a strange, old tin platter buried deep in the sand. The platter turns out to have belonged to the notorious pirate Timian Blest, and when it is stolen just days later the detectives understand that they’re onto something big. Hjorth & Rosenfeldt dominate the Norwegian bestseller list

Hjorth & Rosenfeldt hold three of the top five spots on the official Norwegian bestseller list for paperback books. At No. 2 is The Silent Girl, the fourth installment in the Sebastian Bergman series. The novel is closely followed by book two and three in the series: The Man Who Watched Women at No. 4, and The Man Who Wasn’t There at No. 5.

‘Victim Without a Face’ shortlisted for Lubimyczytac’s Book of the Year Award 2016

Victim Without a Face, Stefan Ahnhem’s debut novel and the first installment in the Fabian Risk series, has been shortlisted for Lubimyczytac’s Book of the Year Award 2016 in the ‘Crime, Mystery, Thriller’ category. Lubimyczytac is the Polish equivalent of Goodreads, an online community where readers can share reviews and receive recommendations. The winners of the Lubimyczytac’s Book of the Year Award will be chosen by this community in an online vote, open till February 28th.

‘The Rabbit Hunter’ No. 1 in Denmark

Only three days after its publication, Lars Kepler’s The Rabbit Hunter went straight to No. 1 on the official bestseller list for hardcover fiction in Denmark. The Rabbit Hunter is the sixth novel in the series about Joona Linna.

‘Eighteen Below Zero’ No. 4 in Germany

Stefan Ahnhem’s Eighteen Below Zero, the third installment in the Fabian Risk series, celebrates its 5th week on Der Spiegel’s best seller list in Germany. This week the novel comes in at No. 4.

Fredrik Backman No. 1 on all independent lists in the US

A Man Called Ove is No. 1 on all the US regional independent bestseller lists. It is joined by My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry, which likewise features on all the lists.

On the New York Times Best Seller List, A Man Called Ove claims the No. 2 spot on the paperback list. My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry comes in at No. 4. A Man Called Ove is also No. 2 on the combined print and eBook list.

Yrsa Sigurdardóttir presented with The Danish Academy of Crime Writer’s Award 2016

Yrsa Sigurdardóttir’s The Legacy has been awarded The Danish Academy of Crime Writers’ Award (Palle Rosenkrantz Prisen) 2016 for ‘Best Crime Novel of the Year’. The Legacy is the first installment in the Freyja & Huldar series. Yrsa Sigurdardóttir will receive the award at The Crime Book Festival, Krimimessen, in Horsens on April 1st.
