‘William Wenton and the Luridium Thief’ No. 2 in Norway

2015 ended with yet another happy piece of news for Bobbie Peers’ William Wenton and the Luridium Thief. The book became the second best selling children’s fiction title in Norway during the last month of the year.

Tomas Alfredson’s ‘The Snowman’ begins shoot with Michael Fassbender

The hotly anticipated adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s bestselling novel by the same title, The Snowman started shooting on Jan 18 in Oslo, Norway. In addition to Oslo, the film will also shoot in Bergen and Rjukan.

Directed by Tomas Alfredson and produced by Working Title for Universal, the film is set to be released on October 13, 2017. Playing the role of the protagonist Harry Hole is Michael Fassbender. The cast will also feature Charlotte Gainsbourg and Rebecca Ferguson.

‘The Rabbit’ is 2015’s most sold book in Denmark

The Danish edition of The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep became the official best selling book of 2015 in Denmark. Having only been published in October, the children’s book has nonetheless reached 120 000 sold copies.

Michael Fassbender is Harry Hole

It has just been announced that ‘The Snowman’, the movie based on Jo Nesbø’s novel with the same name, will premier in US theaters on Friday 13th, October 2017. Starring as detective Harry Hole is Michael Fassbender (X-Men, Steve Jobs) alongside co-stars Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rouge Nation) and Charlotte Gainsbourg (Antichrist, Independence Day: Resurgence).

The film is directed by Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Let the Right One In) and produced by Working Title Films in association with Another Park Film. The thriller is executive produced by Jo Nesbø, Niclas Salomonsson, Martin Scorsese, Tomas Alfredson, Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger.

Norway’s public service radio and television NRK have picked out 2015’s best children’s books and William Wenton and the Luridium Thief is one of the titles in the spotlight! The rights to Bobbie Peers’ debut children’s novel has so far been sold to 35 territories.

‘The Arc of the Swallow’ chosen as one of 2015’s 10 best mysteries

Sissel Jo Gazan’s The Arc of the Swallow has been selected by The Wall Street Journal as one of their top 10 mysteries of 2015. The Wall Street Journal praised the novel as “intriguing” and Gazan as “an imaginative Danish writer”.

Bobbie Peers’ William Wenton and the Luridium Thief has now been sold to 31 territories! The novel, Bobbie Peers’ literary debut, has been hailed as a children’s book of international proportions by Norwegian press. William Wenton and the Luridium Thief is also the winner of the 2015 Ark’s Children’s Book Award.
