Moses Winterman has made some bad decisions, and it is high time to change lifestyle. That is why he has enrolled at the university. No one is more surprised than Winterman himself.

The Valtonen siblings’ mother, who suffers from dementia, has gone missing. She has left behind a house that her kids don’t want to live in and cannot sell. There is a lot of money at stake, the offer is hard to resist, but Winterman has an essay to write.

Soon, Winterman is pulled into a story of lies, deadly revenge, political intrigues, and a house that rests on deep secrets. Far out at sea a resistance movement slumbers, a cell awaiting to be activated.
