Jan-Erik Fjell

Jan-Erik Fjell (b. 1982) made his debut in 2010 with The Snitch, the first installment in the critically acclaimed series about superintendent Anton Brekke. The novel earned him the Norwegian Booksellers’ Prize, making him its youngest ever recipient at the time. Fjell has since gone on to sell over 1 million copies, and his books have been published in over a dozen countries. He has also been nominated for the prestigious Riverton Prize for Hide and Seek and The Ring Man.

Together with fellow Norwegian Jørn Lier Horst, he writes the Markus Heger series. Its first installment, The Scream, was published in 2024.
