Gråsonen

Gråsonen The Grey Area

Anton Brekke #7

Harald Uteng is a retired Kripos investigator and a legend in Norwegian law enforcement. Out of the blue, he contacts a journalist to produce a podcast about the 1991 murder of 17-year-old Malin Rekve in the small town of Aremark. But just before the podcast is set to air, Uteng is found drowned.

Anton Brekke, who was a young police trainee in Aremark at the time of the murder, suspects nothing criminal until he hears the unpublished podcast recording.

Gradually, Anton begins to wonder if the wrong person was convicted back then and if a killer is once again on the move.

Working at the local grocery store in Aremark is young Emily. Lately, she has been getting the creeping feeling that someone is watching her and that she may be in danger.

This is Jan-Erik Fjell’s seventh novel featuring Anton Brekke.
